endless ocean

The suburbs of Melbourne, a city renowned for its suburban sprawl. I think they call these ‘the leafy outer suburbs’. I used to live in them. Years ago when we lived in Diamond Creek we saw a big sign go up in a bushy area nearby. It said ‘Tree covered home sites’  which, at the time, they were. Within a few weeks the separate allotments had been fenced off and only one tree remained on each. The sign remained, but from then on we referred to them as ‘home covered tree sites’.

  1. The clarity of this photo is awesome, Kirsty! I like your story that goes with it. There are so few trees around me.I keepplanting. I’m going to be “you can’t see the house for the trees”, I hope.

  2. Thank you Leslie. So glad to hear of you’re planting – may your trees grow strong and proud!

  3. I don’t think I ever get these “reply” options right! I wrote to you once and then today saw my name hanging out here.
I find your work absolutely beautiful and your journey very courageous. Thank you for being!

  4. Thank you for being too Mollie. 🙂 I did get you other comment I’m sure, though I don’t remember which post it was on.
