I love art. I love making it and I love enjoying it. But is art really all that useful? I say yes. Apart from anything else, if everyone in the world focused on making art (in whatever form they enjoy) I suspect we would be a lot closer to living the peaceful, balanced, harmonious existence most people claim to want. Trying to solve the world’s ‘problems’ doesn’t seem to get us far. I would dare to suggest that it actually makes things worse. Let’s hear it for art – for creating just because we can! As far as I know there has never been a war that started in an artist’s studio.

This image, shot straight into the sun, has a magical quality about it, like the place it was taken-  Brunswick Heads in Northern New South Wales. I plan to live there one day.

  3. thank you both. It’s great to have you visit!

  4. Even people who do not think much about art respond to it even if they don’t realize it. Your picture cannot help but make one relax and slow down. Thankyou for sharing it.
