This delicious scene played out in the last moments of light tonight in a paddock near my friends’ home in country Victoria. They have lived there for many years. It amazes me that each sunset, on each of those thousands of evenings, has had its own unique textures, colours, and qualities. It’s a bit like people really – nearly 7 billion beautiful individuals alive on the earth today, each with their own unique gift to bring to the world – how extraordinary!

  2. Oh my. The thing I really like about this is that it pulls you. It’s like you have to pass through the approaching darkness to get to the light. I also like the diagonals of the cloud shapes leading me to the sunset.

    • It was amazing – there were so many beautiful moments as the sun set – what a treat it is to be out in the open countryside. In Australia we have very big skies (like Canada too I think).
