Australians have a particular type of humour. We love to play with words. We make short words long and long words short and we switch our letters around. We also have a high regard for the crude and the vulgar. Perhaps because of our convict heritage, we have learned to laugh at most things. The bit of red writing under Gary’s phone number on the back of the truck reads ‘I’d rather be playing my Fender’. Gary is clearly a creative guy. There is a poignancy about a Fender player who spends his days excavating, but Gary’s got class. He doesn’t moan, he doesn’t sulk. He gives his business the most memorable name in town, and writes it all over his truck. And, this being Australia, where a good joke can go a long way, I’m guessing he had no trouble paying for the Fender.

  1. Well, he is certainly colorful! 🙂

  2. Hheheh this is great! We had a comic once called Kenny Everet, one of his characters was a woman called ‘Cupid Stunt’…. (really him dressed up with a big plastic chest, bewigged and bearded…:) I love these humourous pics as well as the beautiful ones – thanks Kirsty 🙂
