sunset over 1770

Yes, I have been away. My apologies for the sudden departure and lack of farewell. I am back now, just need to get myself sorted. ‘Up North’ means Queensland. The place I visited – called ‘1770’ – is a sleepy little fishing town on the coast of Queensland – beautiful clean water – healthy, happy birds and fish – butterflies everywhere. Quite a contrast to the Gulf of Mexico. I will share it with you properly soon.

  1. Sweet sunset shot, Kirsty. We had great clouds here on Monday, also. Glad you are back!

  2. Very nice shot..well done.

  3. what an exquisite sunset! it sounds absolutely lovely!

  4. Beauty shot Kirsty and I am a cloud freak, so I know my clouds…nice!!

  5. Oh my. I will never tire of sky photography after enjoying studying one of Bigsurkate’s last year. I am mesmerised by the sky and the cloud formations seeing to honor the sun in it’s setting. The trail that leads to it with that sharp line and the curve of the other clouds leading my eye around and to the sun. The quiet wait and stillness of the water as it tucks the sun goodnight.

  6. How absolutely dramatic Kirsty! We’re talking Turner here! Incredible image and beautifully captured by you! Not the sort of scene you forget in a hurry – thanks!
